Dandelion Wine

Live at the Melbourne Recital Centre on the Winter Solstice

Monday 21st of June
Primrose Potter Salon
Melbourne Recital Centre
31 Sturt St, Southbank Vic 3006
FB event

The Primrose Potter Salon at the Melbourne Recital is an acoustically gorgeous space so this will be a special intimate concert that will focus on the quieter side of Dandelion Wine and will feature a lot of lute.

The winter solstice has inspired a great variety of festivals, across different cultures, religions and periods. At its essence, the solstice is a powerful moment to reflect on the end of the darkest part of winter and invite a new summer to blossom. This show aims to be a perfect companion to a day that cherishes the transition between old and new, light and shade, and the birth of new delights.

Note: four piece lineup consisting of:
Naomi Henderson - vocals, flute, recorder, percussion, shruti, electronics
Nicholas Albanis - lute, bell cittern, hammered dulcimer, guitar
Francesca Mountfort - cello, bowed psaltery, vocals
Phil Coyle - frame drums

In the meantime, please enjoy our live (no audience) performance at the Visionary Art Atelier, filmed on the last Winter Solstice in 2020 between lockdowns in Melbourne:
