It’s been a long time coming but we are pleased to announce that we will be doing a special seated concert at Northcote Uniting Church with the wonderful
Garden and Sangara as part of the 2017 Darebin Music Feast.

It may have been quite on the public front but things have been happening behind the scenes and we already have some great things lined up for 2017 that we are itching to tell you about... but we can’t yet...

Dandelion Wine are back!

We are back with our first full live show in two years... back with new songs, a new member and new instruments as well.

We are very pleased to announce that Francesca Mountfort (Nervous Doll Dancing) will be playing cello with Dandelion Wine. Our first show together was at Rakvere Castle in Estonia... there was magic happening that night so it will now be an ongoing thing. Hurrah! Videos, acoustic show, Pozible rewards...

New video posted: on a hot, hot Monday morning we headed down to the Southgate Footbridge in Melbourne to one of the Play Me I’m Yours Street Pianos to record a live and acoustic version of ‘Muscle Memory’ with violinist Daniel Stefanski. Here’s the result:

We won’t be doing any concerts in Europe this year... and very few in Australia for that matter as we concentrate on recording. There will, however, be a small afternoon acoustic show in the front bar of
The Retreat with our good friends Brillig from Adelaide on Saturday March 8 (5:00pm). Details here.

For those who chose the “Live and Rare Download” download EP from the Pozible campaign, your download will be sent in the next couple of days... behold “Dandelion Wine - Live In Gdańsk”, recorded live at Wydział Remontowy (Gdańsk, Poland) on the 2013 European Tour that you made possible:

Tour wrap up

Hard at work on the new album...

A huge thank you to everyone who made our 2013 European/Hong Kong Tour so fantastic!
We had an amazing time on this trip, highlights include: our first ever show in Hong Kong, Festival Mediaval, rocking out at Rakvere Castle in Estonia with our friend Francesca Mountford (Nervous Doll Dancing) on cello, the afterparty in Estonia where we played acoustic folk covers with Francesca and Mikko from Pyhä Kuolema, getting to play with our friends from Sellisternium in Poland again, being in the Misty Mountains of Bruchtal again and having a few days off in Paris at the end - hey, we never get holidays so this was a nice bonus!

We’re still sorting through photos, videos and recordings but here’s a few things from around the web:

Help get Dandelion Wine to Europe!

We have just launched a
Pozible crowd funding campaign to raise money to cover airfares for our upcoming August/September 2013 European Tour. The tour will include Festival Mediaval (DE), Bruchtal Festival (CH), a special show in Rakvere, Estonia and club shows in Germany and Poland. There’s a short fall in tour budget and we’re asking for your help to make sure this tour happens. In return we have some really cool and unique things to offer you - everything from postcards and CDs to custom one off vinyl, unique one off ambient pieces created just for you, private concerts, lessons, remixes... even the chance to choose Naomi’s hair colour for the tour! No amount of money is to big or too small - every little (and big) bit counts! Please head to our Pozible page and pledge your support and also share it around your social networks so we and make sure this is a success.

‘Light Streaming Down’ holds a bit of a special place for us as it was the first release that really cemented what Dandelion WIne is, the first one to attract a lot of international attention and the one that lead to us touring Europe for the first time. Yes, our first European tour was ten years ago in October... our very first concert outside Victoria was at the now legendary Gothic Pulse in Warsaw, Poland. We also played in London, Berlin, Konstanz and Switzerland on that tour and had such a great time and a great response that we were back six months later... and many times more after that. This CD also lead to our partnership with the good people at Ars Musica Diffundére/
Black Rain in Germany.

European Acoustic Tour, Aug 2012:
We can confirm that we will be undertaking our seventh(!) European Tour in August this year with a twist: this will be our first acoustic tour of Europe. Dates will be announced shortly... We are still in the process of booking so please
contact us immediately for bookings and/or suggestions!
